Joji Returns With New Single 'Sanctuary'

After having a break through year in 2018, New York artist, Joji (George Miller) returns with his first single of 2019. 'Sanctuary' marks Joji's first single since his 2018 album, BALLADS 1, and gives us a glimpse as to what to expect from him in the near future. With 'Sanctuary' Joji demonstrates his vocal range with harmonized falsettos over a synth-fueled melody.

With 'Sanctuary' Joji gives fans the love ballad feel that we have become accustomed to, while continuing to grow and evolve lyrically. On the track Joji talks about relatable universal themes like unrequited love, and seeking sanctuary in a relationship.

"If you've been waiting for fallin' in love

Babe, you don't have to wait on me

'Cause I've been aiming for heaven above

But an angel ain't what I need"

The single is accompanied by a music video that is a reminiscent of early space oddysey shows like "Star Trek". The video is full of epic fight scenes, aliens, and laser guns. (Check it out below)
